Hydrosella™

Hydrosella is an organic extract from the hibiscus flower, (it’s from the part of the flower that protects the petals from drought and other environmental stress when it is in bud). How it works? It works on three levels. Firstly it helps increase every skin cell’s ability not only to absorb water and but to also retain water. Secondly, it helps restore to the skin’s barrier function by increasing the lipid production in the skin. The skin barrier is key for the skin to function properly (and look its best). It does this by keeping the good stuff in and keeping toxins out. The skin barrier is also crucial for retaining moisture and water in the skin. If the barrier doesn’t functioning correctly, skin can become extra sensitive, aggravated or just dull and flaky looking. Lastly Hydrosella also increases the thickness of the stratum corneum (the top layer of the epidermis). This gives skin that lovely smooth, velvet-ty appearance.

What are the benefits? Hydration is its key function. Dehydrated skin, ageing skin, or sensitive can loose its suppleness and smoothness and can look dull. Applying a product with Hydrosella is like giving the skin a huge glass of water to rehydrate. Skin’s suppleness is improved, skin’s smoothness is improved and overall the skin will look more velvety. Studies show how one application of Hydrosella can improve skin hydration for 72 hours.

Rosality™

Rosality is a precious extract from the Damask Rose (grown in Turkey and harvested once a year between May and June. The petals are picked by hand and immediately processed. The rose extract is combined with vitamin E, macadamia oil and shea butter.

 How it works? It works on 2 levels. Firstly, this ingredient has shown in studies to protect the skin from the affects of all forms of stress (which makes the skin age quicker) – including pollution, lack of sleep, alcohol and general stress. Secondly, it’s a skin brightener. It brightens the skin in 3 different ways – dark under eye circles, sun induced pigmentation and dullness caused from fatigue and lack of sleep.

 What are the benefits? Skin of all ages will be protected from the dulling effects pollution and stress after using this. Younger skin will look more refreshed while older skin will look more even toned as pigmentation and sunspots can be dramatically reduced. We have seen really impressive results after just 1application.

Majestem® 

Majestem is an active ingredient taken from the beautiful star-like Edelweiss flower harvested from mountains in the Alps, Pyrenees and Himalayas.

 How it works? Due to it’s high anti-oxidant qualities it protects skin cells from oxidative stress from UV and pollution. But its other function if to provide a lifting effect to the skin as it stimulates the fibroblasts to produce more collagen.

 What are the benefits? Studies after 6 weeks show a tightening of sagging skin in the chin and neck area. They also show a lift in the upper cheek area as the tear trough folds can be decreased after using this product. Lastly, crows’ feet can be smoothed out. Sculptessence What is it? Sculptessence is derived from linseed (one of the most ecologically sound ingredients used as it requires very little fertilizer). How it works? It has been clinically proven to have a plumping effect on skin volume and so has a contouring effect on the face. It works by protecting the skin’s own collagen (so the skin maintains its firmness) but also stimulates the synthesis of glycosaminoglycans known as GAGs (which are structural chains in the skin). These chains can also hold a lot of water (a bit like hyaluronic acid) so they will help with hydration too – so the overall effect is more hydrated, firmer and plumper looking skin. What are the benefits? This ingredient is a bit like an injectable filler in a bottle – studies were really impressive after 6 weeks of use showing a gentle volume improvement plus 75% firmer skin in all who tried it and 92% said their skin was smoother.

Sculptessence™

Agireline Amplified is a naturally sourced, multi-tasking peptide which is one of the most widely used peptides to relax muscle movement in many of the so-called ‘Botox in a Bottle’ products.

 How it works? As well as working to improve the appearance of expression lines (by improving the speed of recovery from muscle contraction), this clever peptide also has collagen boosting benefits.

 What are the benefits? 4-week studies show an improvement in wrinkle depth of expression lines and crows’ feet, but also am improvement in skin barrier function and overall radiance in the skin.

Hyaluronic Filling Amplified®

Hyaluronic Filling Amplified is a dehydrated form of hyaluronic acid, the naturally occurring molecule found in the skin.

 How it works? 1 molecule of hyaluronic acid can hold 1000 times its weight in water so it’s one of the best ingredients to hydrate the skin and plump out lines at the same time.

 What are the benefits? Results show it’s particularly good for smoothing and plumping deeper wrinkles as well as fine lines.

Hydrogeneration Pale Rose A plant active derived from the rose that can be tolerated even by the most sensitive skin.

How it works? Its main function is to keep the skin barrier intact and functioning well so that enough water remains in the skin to keep it well moisturized and prevents dehydration.

 What are the benefits? Sensitive skin can be soothed, as it makes sure the skin barrier is functioning correctly. All skins are more hydrated and well moisturized after using this ingredient for 4 weeks.

We also use Rose hip seed oil, Passionflower oil and Squalene to help repair damaged skin, regenerate and smooth.
