Our Shipping Policy

 

1 - Shipping Costs

 

Free UK Delivery For Online Orders Over £40 (UK Mainland only)

We offer free delivery for orders placed online where the subtotal is £40 or more.

Wherever possible, all UK orders will be processed and dispatched within 24 hours of receipt (Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays).

Please note that we will need to wait 21 business days from the date of dispatch before we can investigate the non-arrival of an item.

Standard UK Delivery (2–3 working days)

The delivery charge is £4.99 for orders under £40 and free for orders over £40.

This service applies across all weight bands, as calculated at checkout.

Orders in the United Kingdom are processed and dispatched within 24 hours (Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays).

Standard delivery typically takes 2–3 working days, although it is often quicker. We ship with Royal Mail.

Unfortunately, orders to Northern Ireland, Scottish Highlands and Islands, Scottish Lowlands, Isle of Man, Isle of Scilly and a number of England/Scotland Border postcodes may take slightly longer to arrive.

Next Day UK Delivery

Cut-off time for this service is 10:00am Monday–Friday (excluding bank holidays).

This service is charged at £6.99, as calculated at checkout.

Estimated delivery: next working day.

Delivery estimates are based on information provided by the chosen courier and are not guaranteed. By selecting a faster delivery method, your parcel will be prioritised over standard deliveries.

Next day delivery is only available to Mainland UK. Next day delivery will not be offered at checkout for any excluded areas such as Northern Ireland, Scottish Highlands and Islands, Scottish Lowlands, Isle of Man, Isle of Scilly, and a number of England/Scotland Border postcodes.

Cut-off time for next day dispatch is 10:00am (Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays).

We reserve the right to contact you with a revised shipping charge if the products ordered are excessively heavy or require special handling.

2 - Tracking Your Order

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive an email confirmation with tracking details.

For UK deliveries, once your parcel is with the courier, delivery is typically expected within 2–3 working days.

For international deliveries, your parcel is fully trackable until it reaches your local postal service, where it will be updated with a local tracking number.

3 - Taxes & Duties

International Deliveries

Orders destined for the European Union (including Ireland and Monaco) are shipped under the IOSS (Import One Stop Shop) scheme. This means that local VAT is collected at checkout, and your order will be delivered without additional taxes or duties at the border (for orders under €150).

For orders over €150, customs duties may apply. These charges must be paid by the customer directly to the courier before delivery.

Orders shipped outside of the UK, USA or EU are sent on a DDU (Delivered Duty Unpaid) basis. This means you may be liable to pay local sales taxes and customs duties upon arrival. The French Pharmacy cannot advise on the exact amount and cannot accept responsibility for these charges.

If customs charges are not paid within the courier’s specified timeframe, the parcel will be returned to us. We will refund the goods (subject to their condition upon return), but shipping costs will not be refunded.

United Kingdom: UK VAT is charged on orders delivered within the UK.
Australia: Orders shipped to Australia are exempt from UK VAT.

4 - Shipping Restrictions

Certain items (such as nail polishes, fragrances, and aerosols) are classified as hazardous by our shipping partners and can only be shipped to selected countries, including:

Denmark
France
Germany
Ireland (excluding aerosols)
Italy
Luxembourg
Monaco
Netherlands
Portugal
Spain (mainland only)
Switzerland
United Kingdom

Certain brands may also be restricted to sale within the European area.

5 - International Orders

International orders may be subject to longer delivery times due to freight and customs processes. While we always dispatch promptly, we cannot guarantee exact delivery dates for overseas deliveries.

If any item in your order cannot be shipped to your destination, we will contact you promptly to advise and offer a solution.

Shipping prices vary depending on the destination and are calculated at checkout.

6 - Returned Parcels

If a parcel is returned to us due to:

  • Failure of collection
  • Incorrect or incomplete address details
  • Failure to pay customs duties

We will refund the value of the products only. Shipping costs are non-refundable.

7 - Product Variations

Due to the large range and specialist nature of our products, we cannot guarantee that all items will be immediately available.

If any item is out of stock, we will notify you promptly and may recommend an alternative where appropriate.

All orders are subject to stock availability. This does not affect your statutory rights.
