Meet Dr Marine Vincent, Founder The French Pharmacy

Meet Dr Marine Vincent, Founder of The French Pharmacy and Make Me Feel, a French Pharmacy in London.

Why did you start your own business ?

As far as I remember I have always wanted to open my own store. Probably it comes from my Grand-mother who had a grocery shop in the north of France. My fascination for body and medicines lead me to pharmacy studies but I love to be in contact with my clients and to have to manage a retail such as a   pharmacy which is at the centre of the community.

What was the hardest about starting the business ?

From my personal experience, being a mum entrepreneur is where the real challenge is. Building your own company is very demanding but so is a child! It is hard not to feel guilty all the time.

Where are you from France ?

I come from a very tiny village in the centre of France, not too far from Lyon where I study Pharmacy.

What is your daily skincare routine ?

In the morning is cleansing (micellar gel from la Rosée), moisturizing (Caudalie Resveratrol) and makeup (Foundation is Estee Lauder double wear, such as concealer, mascara is YSL effet faux-cils, blush, lipstick et hop. )

In the evening is where the serious work starts, double Cleansing (at the moment I am using Cleansing cream from Dr Hauschka and micellar gel from La Rosée), then recently I have added to this routine the new face vinegar from Gallinée as a toner and I really love it ! Eye cream (time filler eyes from Filorga) and moisturizer (Resveratrol from Caudalie).Twice a week, I like to apply a mask which I choose depending on how my skin feels (my favourites are Glycolic mask from REN, Scrub and mask from Filorga and hydrating mask from Avene).

If you had to choose one beauty or skincare products only to take with you, which one would it be ?

Such an impossible question! My mascara I guess.

How do you relax ?

Balancing me-time, family life and managing a business is quite a jigsaw… I have discovered yoga and combine with mindfulness it really helps me. Otherwise a bath with a good book is a must.

 Favourite place in London ?

I really like where I live in Clapham. There is a very lovely village feeling which remind me where I come from.

Favourite holiday or travel destination

I would love to travel more... My dream travel destinations are Costa Rica and chasing the Northern lights. Hopefully soon!
